(More customer reviews)I bought this at target during thanksgiving 2010 for $59.99. I had my friend try out as she is more experienced in sewing. She said this was a good basic machine for my purposes which would be simple projects not requiring any fancy stitches.It has all the basic stitces and a zipper foot, a buttonhole foot, darning plate etc.
I tried out all the stitches and the stitch quality is good so far. I am going to keep this one.
If anything goes wrong I will post a review!

SINGER Pixie-Plus Sewing Machine Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this machine a few weeks ago and while using it the thread started bunching and getting caught in the bobbin area, I unjammed and checked the tension, it would work for about 1/2 the side of one pant leg and then get bunched again. I have taken the bobbin feeder area apart checked the tension read the VERY SHORT manual that doesnt give you much help...and tried basically everything I can think of including changing the needle...still keeps doing it!! ... oh yeah and the bobbin winder worked once and now it doesnt ever switch the power from the sewing part to the winding the bobbin when you slide the winder over.. so the needle goes up and down and the bobbin stays perfectly still!! ..if anyone has any clues about how to fix these issues please let me know

Brother LS 30 Sewing Machine (Refurb) Review

Love this machine because it is heavy duty, sews 1100 stitches per minute and is easy for her to operate. I own tnree Singer sewing machines, and two sergers. My mom loves hers and quilts on it almost every day. Shopped around and found that Amazon offered the best price for this product. If you are looking for a great machine..easy to operate, has weight to it, suggest you purchase this one from AMAZON, of course. I definitely will be purchasing from them again...
