Johnson Bros. His Majesty 5 Pc Place Setting(s) W/Cereal Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My daughters remember the turkey plates we had when they were growing up and this Christmas I was able to provide four place settings for each of them as a complete surprise. They were delighted and will treasure them.
The Taylor Co. is excellent, especially when I had to correct the address for one of the recipients. I am so pleased it all worked out so well.

Wedgwood JOHNSON BROTHERS - SUMMER CHINTZ: Dinner Plate 10.5" Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I ordered this item for my mother as she needed some replacement plates and had found that the recent issues were made in China and were of very LOW QUALITY. I set out on a hunt to find some specifically Made in England. Low and behold I saw this here on good old reliable Amazon. The order was placed, the itmes shiped and were delivered fairly quickly. The excitement of receiving these made the wait seem longer than it actually was. Upon opening the box the huge disappointment was right there on the plates ...... Low quality and Made in China.
A call to the company was made. They said it was Amazon's problem and not theirs. They had no say so in how the items were advertised and they weren't responsible for the advertisement that was incorrect. They did offer a refund upon return of the plates and so it was done. Now if we can just get that credit to our card we'd be all set.
This company will not get my business in the future and Amazon has been notified of the listing being incorrect though nothing has been done, yet.

Johnson Brothers Friendly Village Dinner Plate Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This was advertised as a set of four plates. I ordered 4 sets and received 4 plates TOTAL! I called the people who sent the plates and they basically just told me I was out of luck and that Amazon was advertising in a false way. I wanted these for the holidays, and so was stuck not having the dishes I needed for Christmas. I was more than disappointed and felt this was truly false advertising. Even to this day the ad STILL says Friendly Village Dinner Plate 9Set of 4)!!!! It is STILL false advertising. I just wish someone would make this right...

Johnson Brothers Friendly Village Creamer Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)There's not much to say here. After all, it's simply a creamer. But having accidentally brushed mine off on the floor and smashed it to smithereens, I was very glad to find one here to go with the tea-set. Thanks Amazon.

Johnson Brothers Friendly Village 19.5-Inch Turkey Platter Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The colors were not as I expected. The quality is not what I hoped for either. I kept the set however, as the price was decent and I did not want to bother with a return. WIll likely end up in a Goodwill purge.

Johnson Brothers Willow Blue Creamer Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Since Johnson Brothers Willow Blue is an "open stock" pattern, you will have to order each piece of this beautiful handpainted porcelain china separately. This Creamer holds a cup of cream, and it matches the "traditional" Willow Blue Covered Sugar bowl. It's hard to make a decision between the pretty 3-D sets and the traditional sets, so you might want to buy them both!

Johnson Brothers Old Britain Castles Blue Platter Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I noticed off and online here with some other comments on Johnson Brothers products, people were not happy with the quality. I think at this price the quality is really quite good. No, they aren't made in England anymore, but in today's economy I have to be realistic, and if I want the real English stuff it's hundreds of dollars. But this is a lovely and functional plate.

Johnson Brothers Friendly Village 28-Piece Set with Square Accent Plates, Service for 4 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Okay. I got them, and 4 pieces were broken in a set of 16 place settings ... a hassle, but Amazon is sending replacements, and I get to ship back for free, so could have been worse.
But, the biggest disappointment was discovering, that printed only on the paper tags, these were made in China ... not in England like all my prior pieces. I am actually strongly against made in China products. But, a relative saw the sets, asked if they could buy them from me ... so I'm okay in that I can now go out and see if I can find some still Made in England (I have my serious doubts, and I may be back to ordering more from here).
On the upside, the dishes are gorgeous (the painting is a little different than my old pieces, but nothing you would seriously notice). The look great on the table, and this is a set that you can use for years. They are NOT china for anyone looking for china, these are stoneware. But, this is a pattern I love.
Due to the made in China aspect, I am thinking about buying Spode Woodlands dishes, though ... I wonder if they are made in China as well now days.
