(More customer reviews)I ordered this for myself as a Christmas gift. I smoke a lot of meat and knew this would come in handy. I have seen the normal sized ones but this one was perfect for reaching into my 2' deep smoker. The shaft is very thick and doesn't strain under the weight of a #10 brisket. Many people will tell you not to puncture the meat for fear of losing juices. I don't notice any loss of moisture. Excellent product.
