(More customer reviews)Having bought a set of Churchill Brook Pink transferware dinnerware, I chose to add one of these vegtable bowls to the set since they intermix so beautifully and I especially liked the shape of the bowl. I was very pleased with the piece. The only thing I was not happy with, the dish came from one of the stores which Amazon allows us to find items from. Somehow, the bowl was shipped to my out of state address instead of the one I was using with Amazon for shipment. I am not sure if I was in error but the addresses did not come up for me to check which one was the correct delivery address, as it does when I order from Amazon itself. I had to pay several dollars postage due when the bowl arrived.

This historical and traditional pattern, old British castles, intricately rendered by a miss fennel back in 1928. She, the daughter of a master engraver, created these original drawings from old book photographs and steel engravings. OBC is certainly one of the best known patterns from Johnson Brothers and has been in production since 1930. Each piece of china depicting a scene of a different castle has extended to 45 castles. Some of the most famous castles included in the OBC pattern are-Cambridge, duns table, exeter, haddon hall, kent, stratford, and warwick. Ruthin castle is featured.
