The plant I purchased was a healthy one and I trust this spring it will peek through and be just as beautiful as the picture of the plant. It will be quite pretty with my yellow day lilies and Arkansas amsonia and the agatasche.

IRIS: Iris is a genus of between 200-300 species of flowering plants with showy flowers. It takes its name from the Greek word for a rainbow, referring to the wide variety of flower colors found among the many species. A must have perennial, the iris tolerates wet, boggy areas and is very adaptable to a variety of soil types.
Deep velvety blue. One of the most easily grown Iris, originating from Northern Asia. Does well under all types of weather conditions. Best grown in a humus soil. Originally available only in deep violet purple, we are now able to offer many other colors which have the same fine naturalizing habits as the original.
